Sichana's (my friend walking in picture above) sister's home is right on the beach.
Salma, my new sister and hostess for the day. She has eight children and is an amazing cook.
Salma's husband is a boat mechanic and was busy working most of the day. He was hoping to take us out on his boat but it was too windy. Instead we spent hours playing in the water. On most portions of the island the beach has very little slope, so you have to walk far to swim. The girls however were scared to go out very far into the water. The furthest we made it was to our waists. Two of the girls only made it out to their knees. The small waves added to the excitement. We swim in pants/capris and tee shirts.
Salma fed us continuously throughout the day: crab, chicken, coconut rice, mango, banana, ...
Salha, Fatima and Aisha enjoying one of our walks on the beach.
Hanging out on the neighbor's boat.

It is hard to believe that they live right on such an amazing beach and they don't swim. It looks like you had another fun adventure.
