Back in Kenya

Finally a blog update. For those who have not yet heard I have been in Kenya for the last 1½ weeks. It is a true blessing to be here in Kenya. A quick rundown on my time so far:

Upon arrival I had a wonderful time catching up on all that has been happening in Mozambique and Chanika village.

I then had a wonderful reunion with a good friend I made when I was here in 2007. I was able to spend a few days with her and her husband and new baby. It was a wonderful time to give thanks, pray, see some sites, share each other’s passions and hear what God is doing in our lives.

One day while outside babysitting and washing my clothes I was completely absorbed by the most beautiful praises being sung by the neighbor lady Doreen. I could sit and listen captivated all day. Except for the fact that I was informed that I wash clothes like a man--sitting/squatting instead of bending. But to listen to those praises I am sure God would strengthen my back to allow me to bend all day.

The remainder of my time has been spent attending a conference held at a tea estate and visiting relatives of Kenyan friends from the states.

This afternoon I am heading to Narok in Southwestern Kenya. I am excited to spend a few days with the WC staff I was able to get to know back in 2007.
